District Operations

Choice Books is looking for a person with a heart for placing wholesome, inspirational books in everyday shopping places. Someone who has good ability in the delivery and merchandising processes.  This position requires the flexibility to work as an assistant to the manager, helping where most needed in the district.

Compensation: $23.00 to $25.00 hourly

Full-Time: with benefits

Essential Responsibilities include:

• Learn the Delivery and Merchandising (D&M) systems and processes
• Help support the Delivery and Merchandising (D&M) team 
• Cover routes when other D&M staff are off, or when help is needed
• Assist in training new and current employees
• Assist in transferring inventory to the D&M staff
• Assist in planning and executing promotions, special projects, new sets, display removals, etc.
• Assist with invoices, receipts, etc.

Qualifications:

• Have a good work ethic and team spirit
• Connection with the faith-based aspect of the organization
• Relate well with others
• Communicate well, such as in training
• Be flexible working as an assistant to a manager, helping where most needed
• A valid driver’s license (CDL not required) with a good record
• Ability to drive a larger vehicle such as a box truck or van
• Capable of lifting 35-60 lbs. regularly
• Capable of bending, stooping, crouching, pushing, pulling, climbing steps stools and ladders, and stepping in and out of the back of truck, stand and walk long periods, and drive long periods 
• Ability to start early in morning
