Ranch Road Baptist Church, located near the thriving community of Babcock Ranch in North Fort Myers, Florida, is prayerfully seeking a Senior Pastor to lead our church body. We are a Christ-centered, elder-led congregation averaging 120-140 in weekly attendance, a thriving children’s ministry and a beautiful 10-acre campus dedicated to worship, discipleship, and outreach.
Position Overview:
The Senior Pastor will serve as the primary spiritual leader and shepherd of Ranch Road Baptist Church, preaching and teaching the Word of God, providing pastoral care, and working alongside the elders to guide the church in fulfilling its mission. The ideal candidate will have a deep love for Christ, a passion for biblical preaching, and a heart for equipping the saints for ministry.
Qualifications:
A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a strong commitment to biblical authority.
A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Senior Pastor, Executive Pastor or Campus Pastor.
Seminary training with a preference for a master’s degree or higher (experience will be considered).
A strong gift for expository preaching and sound biblical teaching.
A shepherd’s heart with a passion for discipleship, outreach, and community engagement.
Strong leadership and administrative abilities to oversee and develop ministerial staff.
Must affirm and uphold the doctrinal beliefs of the Baptist Faith and Message (2000).
Alignment with the mission and vision of Ranch Road Baptist Church.
Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee the spiritual direction of the church in partnership with the elder board.
Preach and teach God’s Word with clarity, passion, and faithfulness.
Provide pastoral care, counseling, and leadership development within the church.
Equip and mobilize the congregation for evangelism, discipleship, and ministry.
Oversee and grow the ministerial staff and church administration, ensuring a healthy and effective leadership team.
Lead with humility, integrity, and a commitment to biblical truth.
