Associate Pastor

Overview

We are seeking an Associate Pastor to join our dedicated ministry team. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated and adaptable man with a passionate desire to lead our discipleship efforts. Working closely with the Lead Pastor, the Associate Pastor will play a key role in implementing the church’s vision, while remaining accountable to the elder board. We are looking for a man whose unique giftings will enable him to collaborate effectively with our staff, providing spiritual guidance and care to our congregation. Responsibilities

Leadership Development: Equip, train, and raise up volunteers to serve effectively in various ministries, fostering a culture of growth and empowerment within the church.

Community Involvement: Actively engage with the local Eldridge and North Scott community, building relationships and representing the church’s mission beyond our walls.

Visitor Connection: Welcome and connect with new visitors, guiding them in taking practical next steps to integrate into the life of the church, such as joining small groups, serving, or attending events.

Vision Implementation: Partner with the Lead Pastor to translate the church’s vision into actionable strategies, ensuring alignment with our foundation in the Word of God and relational focus.

Preaching and Teaching: Step in as needed to preach and teach, delivering Biblically grounded messages that inspire and equip the congregation.

Team Collaboration: Work alongside the staff to support the overall ministry, providing pastoral care and contributing to the church’s growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• A strong, growing faith in Jesus Christ and a life aligned with Biblical principles.
• Proven ability in leadership development with a track record of raising up and mentoring volunteers.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a heart for connecting with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Willingness and enthusiasm to engage with the local community.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both in collaborative settings and when preaching or teaching.
• Adaptability and a proactive attitude in a dynamic, growing church environment.
• Theological alignment with Cornerstone Church’s values and ministry approach.
• Strong Ministry Experience 
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Master’s degree preferred
