The Operations Associate (HR & Finance) plays a key role in supporting human resources and financial administration at Park Cities Baptist Church. This position is responsible for employee onboarding, financial contributions management, and administrative support to ensure smooth operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion. This full-time role (Monday-Friday) is ideal for someone who is proactive, process-driven, and eager to contribute to a mission-focused organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Human Resources & Onboarding
- Assist in coordinating background checks, drug screenings, and new hire paperwork to ensure compliance with onboarding requirements.
- Set up and maintain accurate employee records in digital formats, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
- Organize new hire orientation sessions, providing essential training materials and guidance on church policies.
- Support HR administrative functions, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and updating HR databases.
Financial Contributions & Cash Management
- Process and reconcile incoming cash, checks, and electronic donations, ensuring compliance with financial policies.
- Maintain accurate records of financial contributions and donor transactions.
- Prepare and distribute donor acknowledgment letters, statements, and receipts.
- Assist the finance team with accounts payable tasks and financial documentation.
- Ensure proper documentation and tracking of financial transactions, collaborating with the finance team as needed.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Human Resources
- Business Administration
- Accounting or Finance
- Equivalent work experience in HR, finance, or church operations may be considered in place of a degree.
Technical Skills & Knowledge
- HR Software Proficiency: Experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., ADP, Paycor, Gusto, or similar systems) helpful.
- Accounting & Finance Tools: Experience with QuickBooks, Shelby Systems, Sage Intacct, or other contribution management tools.
- Microsoft Office Proficiency:
- Excel – Creating spreadsheets, data entry, reconciling financial records.
- Word – Drafting documents, letters, and reports.
- Outlook – Managing emails and scheduling.
- Database & Records Management: Experience with CRM systems or donor tracking software used in nonprofit or church settings.
- Strong Communication & Writing Skills: Ability to draft emails, reports, and donor acknowledgment letters with clarity and professionalism.

- Assist in optimizing digital workflows for HR and Finance by identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.
